Topic: The importance of textile fabrics to clothing design.

Main Content: The most important link of clothing design is to understand the structure and characteristics of textile fabrics so as to grasp the essence of textile fabrics. This lecture focuses on the look, feel, comfort, functionality and other design purposes integrated into clothing design.

Speaker: He Jichao
The introduction of the speaker:
He Jichao, who is a doctor of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the special-appointed professor of Zhijiang college of Zhejiang University of Techenology. He has been the director of Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel(HKRITA), the honorary technical advisor of Hong Kong textile association and the observer of the International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee. Now, he is the academician of International Textile Institution and the Hong Kong textile and apparel institute, a Senior member of China Textile Engineering Society, the guest professor of the department of textile and clothing of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also the guest professor of Donghua University , Zhejiang Sci-Tech University ,Suzhou University ,Southwest University and other universities. He is the "Shaoxing overseas talents" special expert, senior consultant of Shanghai Textile Science Research Institute, senior expert of Zhejiang Modern Textile Industry Research Institute, representative of new social class of China textile city, the representative of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Shaoxing city, the chairman of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University alumni association of the department of textiles and clothing (China headquarters). He has presided over more than 100 scientific research projects, obtained about HK $200 million innovation and technology fund, and published more than 25 special articles and 9 academic papers through international textile publications.
