On October 25th, the symposium of the 40th "Secretary invite you to talk about our college" was held in the hall of ZJCloud Service Center. Zheng Yaping, secretary of the party committee of the college,and more than 30 representatives of School Office, Organization Personnel Department, Academic Affairs Department, Scientific Research Department, Keqiao Local Research Institute, Youth League Committee, representatives of high-level talents in Keqiao District and representatives of young doctors in relevant secondary colleges had participated in the symposium. They had discussion and exchanges about the topic “Focus on Zhijiang, Develop Together”.

During the symposium, Secretary Zheng listened carefully to the speeches of the delegates and thanked the high-level talents for their long-term positive contributions to the development of the college. She pointed out that since the 20th anniversary of the undergraduate education, the college has thoroughly implemented the strategy of strengthening the school by talents, accelerated the construction of the talent team, and strived to create a good environment for all kinds of talents to display their talents and achieved good results. And she put forward three hopes for the high-level talents to further assist the development of the college which focus on the spiritual of the topic “Do not forget the initial heart, Remember our mission” tightly:

  1. To promote development with talent. Talents are the key resources for development. Talent construction is an important guarantee for improving the level of running schools and improving the quality of personnel training. The college will continue to improve the system and mechanism of high-level personnel training, activate talents with the system, and promote development with talents. And create a good environment that respects talents, cares for talents, and cares for talents. We must continue to do a good job in the introduction, training, management and service of high-level talents, make good use of existing talents, introduce urgently needed talents, and retain key talents to provide talent support for the construction of first-class regional application universities.
  2. To gather talents with development. Talents promote development, develop and gather talents, and give full play to the role of high-level talents in the demonstration of talent training, scientific research, discipline construction, and integration of production and education. We also should strengthen the construction of scientific research teams, consolidate the direction of the team, enhance the team's ability to innovate, and provide more opportunities and platforms for the growth of talents. High-level talents should be well-headed geese, correctly handle the relationship between teaching and scientific research, let scientific research results feedback on teaching, promote teaching, improve the quality of personnel training, and attract and condense more outstanding talents with outstanding performance.
  3. To win by cooperation. We must unswervingly implement the strategy of strengthening the school of talents, constantly improve the level of talents, based on the advantages of colleges and universities, and make good use of local talent policies to create a platform for the development of high-level talents in schools. Through a variety of forms to bring together more talents to the college officers to start a business, so that more high-level talents through the school-site cooperation platform to achieve their own value. It is necessary to further expand the campus, school-enterprise cooperation space, accurately carry out all kinds of service work for talents, innovate talent service methods, improve the level of talent services, and effectively help them solve the difficulties encountered in their work and life. We should provide better services for all types of talents, and achieve an interactive win-win situation between the college and local economic and social development.

During the meeting, high-level talents express their opinions on teaching and research, discipline construction, personnel training, team building, social service, evaluation, job title evaluation, school-enterprise cooperation, and life security, and put forward many constructive suggestions.

After the meeting, the participants of the conference visited the exhibition of achievements of the 20th anniversary of undergraduate education.
