On September 11, 2019, at 9 a.m., the College held a grand opening ceremony for freshmen of Grade 2019. Hu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang University of Technology, College leaders, 2660 new classmates of 2019, middle-level cadres of the college, supervisors of Shangde Academy and representatives of teachers attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Huang Xinmin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College.

  At the opening ceremony, Zheng Yaping, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, announced the list of the tutors of Shangde College, and the leaders of the rostrum issued letters of engagement for the tutors.

At the end of the opening ceremony, all the teachers and students jointly sang the song "My Motherland and I", celebrating the Seventieth Anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and wishing the motherland prosperity and national peace.
