On March 4 and 5, the College Youth League Committee cooperated with the Keqiao District Committee, the Keqiao Street Office and the District Administrative Examination and Approval Bureau carried out the volunteer service activities of learning from Lei feng on the ” 3•5” plan in Lantian City Center Square, Summer Palace and Keqiao District Public Service Building, which opened the prelude of Lei feng Volunteer Service. The Youth League members learnt from Comrade Lei feng through practical actions, actively practiced the socialist core values and strived to be the descendants of Lei feng in the new times.
During the activities, more than 200 volunteers from Keqiao District and from our college set up stalls in many places to provide policy consultation, medical care, health consultation, household appliances maintenance, mobile phone maintenance, key repair, legal protection, free haircut, glasses maintenance, household goods maintenance, charity sale, civilized traffic publicity, publicity of "five water co-governance", environmental protection publicity. Volunteer served with various characteristics, such as biography, photography of the most beautiful certificates. Volunteers have been publicizing eyeglasses nursing knowledge, providing free eyeglasses maintenance service for the public, appealing to the public to pay attention to eyesight health; collecting clothes and books lovingly, launching directional donation activities at the event site, and using all the good money for social public welfare undertakings; helping the reform of "running once at most" to relieve the distress of the people working in the public service building Promoting civilized traffic, guiding pedestrians to cross the road safely and advocating green and civilized travel modes, publicizing "five-water co-governance", issuing environmental protection brochures, and helping to build green Keqiao. In addition, College Volunteer Associations, Secondary College Students' Organizations and Associations also worked together with associations of College Associations and photography clubs to shoot "the most beautiful certificates" for the citizens free , take blood pressure free, organize the bookcases of nursing homes, popularize scientific and cultural knowledge, which has been widely praised by the citizens.
