On December 27, the 74th lecture was held in lecture hall 117, xingjian building.Dr.Lin Yong who teaches in school of Mechanical Engineering held the lecture named “A brief history of car”,and there were totally more than 220 students and teachers took part in.
In the lecture,Lin Yong started with the car brands which the audiences are familiar with ,and introduced the development process and characteristics of well-known automobile brands at home and abroad, and shared the related back stories by analyzing the brand identity and connotation.Then, he gave a vivid and detailed introduction of the four famous automobile celebrities in history and their experiences of establishing automobile brands, and expounded the big challenges and great breakthroughs they have faced in the development process.After that,he instructed the present situation and future of modern driverless cars, and analyzed the characteristics of different modern unmanned vehicle modes, such as assisted driving, semi-automatic driving, highly automatic driving, super-highly automatic driving and fully automatic driving, and through the analysis of the current popular Baidu unmanned vehicle and Google unmanned vehicle technology, the audience has a deeper understanding of unmanned vehicle. At the end of the lecture, he took the latest unmanned car application technologies such as the pacer unmanned sweeper, Jingdong automatic delivery robot and Audi A8 Tesla as examples to show the advantages and challenges of unmanned cars to the audience, and looked into the development trend of unmanned cars in the future.

Lin Yong ,a associate professor , doctor of engineering, full-time teacher,of school of mechanical engineering in Zhijiang College of Zhejiang University of Technology.He graduated from Vehicle Engineering Major in Zhejiang University , is committed to electromechanical composite system development and testing, microcontroller and instrument development.He used to be the assistance of president of Zhejiang research institute of China Lane Agricultural Equipment co., LTD.,the deputy chief engineer of Hangzhou Zhejiang University Moon Technology co. LTD.,the technical director of Suzhou Btro Intelligent technology co., LTD.,the first person of Zhejiang young scientists training and a member of youth working committee of zhejiang mechanical engineering association of China mechanical engineering association.He Participated in 5 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, published more than 10 EI papers, and obtained more than 10 patents.
