Recently, the second "LSCAT" Cup Zhejiang Translation Contest came to an end. Our student Zhu Danlei(class of 2014),who majors in the hotel management, won the first prize among other participants under the guidance of Liu Yongbo, a teacher of the School of Foreign languages, which fully demonstrated the solid language foundation and excellent translation ability of our college students. In this contest, more than 1,000competitors participated and they are from Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Normal University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Hangzhou Normal University, and other Zhejiang undergraduate institutions. 
 This competition was jointly organized by the Chinese Translation Association Language Service Competence Assessment and Training (LSCAT), Zhejiang Provincial Translation Association and Zhejiang University Foreign Language Teaching and Research Association. It aims to cultivate language service talents of high quality due to the expanding demands of foreign exchange in our province, advance the overall development of English teaching in high institutions, and promote the prosperity and development of the language service industry, which pave the way for "One Belt, One Road" policy.
