The first mini-marathon race was solemnly held in shaoxing campus on May 30^th with the presence of Huang Xinming, the deputy secretary of the Party committee; Pan Haihan, vice president of sports committee and directors from Student Affairs Department, Youth League Committee and Schools. On the opening ceremony, Huang pointed out that this new kind of race is the product of the combination of campus environment, marathon concept and orienting knowledge. It is not only the interesting carrier that we develop for after-class exercises, but also the significant measure for the cultural campus cultivation. Meanwhile, he reminded the students of the importance of their safety and encouraged them to do the best. The race was divided into men and women groups, attracting 830 freshmen to join in. The five-kilometer long process was divided into two sections with seven target points in the first section and twelve ones in the second, which aimed to investigate the physical and mental fitness of the athletes respectively. In spite of the physical exhaustion, the participators still enjoyed to the full Finally, the Business School won the first prize, the Design School and the Humanity School gained the second prize, and the third prize belonged to the China Travel School, the Information and Technology School as well as the Architecture School. The title of “Campus Mini-marathon Race Talent” was extended to the top 80 boys and girls respectively.
