The first President’s Afternoon Tea Forum was held in Lecture hall in the Teacher and Student Activity Center, Shaoxing on Nov. 18th. The Afternoon Tea Forum serves as aplatform for both School and Student to let them communicate closely, and aims at elevating students’ aspiration by idea collision, self-enlightenment, aspiration discovery and horizon broadening at an ease circumstances. ZJC President Li Penglin communicated with students on their study, campus construction, work, and daily life.

Li Penglin, with 20 students, sat around with a cup of tea, and answered studentsvarious questions on life, idea, growth with his sincere and honest words and vivid examples. He believes that undergraduates are expected not only to enhance their knowledge study but also give importance to elevate personal ability and quality by attending academic lectures, volunteer activities, and social activities and by putting oneself in local economical and cultural development. This can serve as the basis to further skills to live in the society. Also, he illustrated how to learn and lead a meaningful university life by his own experiences. He addressed that every student is the master of campus, so students should find and solve the problems ZJC may confront. A third area is also under construction by ZJC aiming at developing the connotation and taste of campus culture, improving students’ study and life circumstance, and enhancing the sense of belongings of ZJC teachers and students. He also express his hope towards students that they can cherish all the affections towards school, teachers and students, plant personal goals, learn to be strong, dependent, fortuitous, and self-confident.
