On September 21, the 2nd Zhejiang University Students Network and Information Security Competition was successfully concluded in Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology (Xiasha Campus). After eight hours of fierce competition, three teams under the guidance of Dr. Pan Jian won three second prizes.

This contest is divided into online preliminary contest and on-site final contest. Online preliminary contest adopts online answering mode, which covers computer network technology, Web security, reverse analysis, mobile security, binary vulnerability mining, cryptography, security programming and so on. Final contest adopts problem-solving mode of breaking through the gates. The contest topics are divided into six breaking through the gates and a number of additional questions, and two sub-questions in each gates adopt model-breaking. There is no restriction on the order of solving problems between different levels. Depending on the actual situation of solving problems in the competition, some additional questions will be released in the second half of the competition, which will test the students' comprehensive practical ability and technical level.

After several months of hard training, the three teams of our college stood out from 269 teams from 50 universities, all of them were finalists and finally won three second prizes. It was very difficult. Through this competition, students also realized the gap with other universities and their own shortcomings, and found a clear direction of struggle.

The purpose of Zhejiang College Students' Network and Information Security Competition is to actively promote college students' innovation and entrepreneurship, cultivate their innovative thinking and practical ability to analyze and solve problems, enhance their comprehensive quality, promote inter-school exchanges, improve the teaching, scientific research and application level of network and information security in Colleges and universities throughout the province, and enrich schools the academic and cultural atmosphere of the park.
