6th Session of 5th Council Meeting of Zhejiang International Exhibition Industry Association hosted by our college

On January 8, the 6th Session of the 5th Council Meeting of Zhejiang International Exhibition Industry Association, organized by the association and hosted by the college, concluded successfully. The meeting thoroughly aligned with the guiding principles outlined by Secretary Wang Hao at the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government’s Open Development Conference, focusing on implementing key strategies to vigorously develop the exhibition economy. Over 40 attendees participated, including Zhuang Jin, Director of the Service Trade Division of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce; Chen Cui, President of Zhejiang International Conference and Exhibition Industry Association; Xu Shihao, Vice Dean of the college; and representatives from association member units.


Xu Shihao, on behalf of the college, extended a warm welcome to the guests. He emphasized the college’s commitment to building four high-quality development systems:

  1. The educational and teaching ecological system with "quality as the core"

  2. The talent cultivation ecological system with "students as the center"

  3. The cultural ecological system of "letting a hundred flowers bloom"

  4. The sustainable resource ecological system of "co-construction and sharing"

He highlighted the exhibition industry’s pivotal role in advancing global economic and cultural exchanges. The college, he noted, will continue cultivating high-caliber professionals in exhibition management to provide robust intellectual support for regional economic prosperity and industrial upgrading.


Centered on the theme “Exhibitions as a Bridge, Industry Catalyst, and Trade Driver — Vigorously Developing Zhejiang’s Exhibition Economy,” the meeting focused on exchanges around the overarching goal of “building Zhejiang into a leading exhibition hub” and outlined key tasks for 2025. Zhuang Jin delivered a keynote speech titled “Provincial Department of Commerce’s Vision for Advancing Zhejiang’s Exhibition Economy,” sparking lively discussions among participants on strategies to accelerate the sector’s growth.
